The researchers, students and academics from a wide range of disciplines from the Balkan region and abroad are invited to apply on this Call for Papers. Our goal is to explore the posibiliy and capacity that culture has and can gain on local level, as well as for social regeneration, improvement to the life quality of its citizens, as well as to its economic development.
The overall theme of the conference Re-thinking local Cultural Policy: new identity and new paradigm can be seen as one of the interesting, challenging and provocative topics in the local development area. It should also be counted as one of the fundamental topics for the local development in general and cultural studies in particular. During the past twenty years, this topic has been discussed by a wide variety of disciplines and sciences: comparative cultural studies, cultural policy and management, anthropology, social studies, economic studies, etc.
